Superintendent Search Begins for the Moon Area School District
The MASD Board of School Directors has formally launched the search for the next superintendent of schools. The application period for Superintendent of Schools is currently open. The Board hopes to involve others -district staff members, parents, students, and other stakeholders- in the search through their participation in a survey. The survey affords district stakeholders the opportunity to provide input regarding the qualifications and experience they believe would be important in a new superintendent. Please take a few minutes to share your thoughts with us about this important position. The link to the survey is available below for interested parties who chose to complete and submit responses. Please Note:  You can only provide one response and it will be completely anonymous.

The survey will be available through June 29, 2013. The feedback received will be considered by the board in the development of a profile of characteristics and qualifications against which to evaluate candidates. Thank you on behalf of the board for all submissions.

University Blvd. Entrance to MASD Campus to Close Beginning June 18
The Moon Area School District entrance into campus from University Boulevard will close starting on Tuesday, June 18th to complete the construction work this summer. It will reopen prior to school starting. During this time, please use the Beaver Grade Road entrance. Access to Bob Evans will continue.

Board of Education Approves Proposed Final Budget
At the Board of Education meeting on May 13, Moon Area School District school directors approved a proposed 2013-14 final budget totaling $63,672,136 that contains no property tax increase.
