Blackboard Connect 5 is our rapid alert notification system and offers many features:

To change your phone or email information please complete the Student Emergency Information Form (top part only) and deliver it to your student's building.

As part of the 1991 “Do Not Call” Federal Act, the FCC issued a new ruling named the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA), which addresses mass notification. This ruling, states that a person should be provided with a means to decline future automated cell phone calls and texts.
Blackboard Connect 5, the rapid notification system used at Moon Area School District, has provided this option at the conclusion of each broadcast whether phone call or text. The phone calls may be opted-out by pressing 1 at the conclusion of the call, and with text messages, you may reply "STOP."
If a family should change their mind or accidently opt-out, you must follow the directions below to reinstate the phone or text. The district has no control over these opt-out options.
Please remember, these messages are important and you should carefully consider the consequences of opting-out and it will be the responsibility of the family to ascertain any broadcasted information.

The Blackboard Connect platform provides a powerful tool for educational institutions to send mass notifications to parents, guardians, students, and faculty regarding weather closures, threat situations, event scheduling, or to provide other important education-related information. These messages not only drive positive educational outcomes,they can also save lives.
Using the same phone in which you opted-out, call the Blackboard Connect 5 hotline number at 855-502-7867 and follow the directions on the recording.
If families opt-out from a text messaging, they will need to respond "Subscribe Now" to the number 23177.
What is my identification number? Families should use the student's ID number as an identifying number. Employees will use their employee number which can be found on the Employee Portal.
How do I combine all of my children into one account? Once you are logged in click on your name in the menu across the top. Select Subscriptions. In the menu on the right select Find Contact. Add the next child as you did the first with their ID number and the phone number that we have on record for that child. (This is usually the AlertNow phone number.)
How do I notify the District with changes to my phone number, address, and other personal information? Click on the following link and print and complete the Change of Personal Information form. Please deliver the form to your building secretary. Student Emergency Information Form (top part only)
