The Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh of UPMC is conducting a 12-month research study for children ages 6-14 to evaluate the relationship between asthma and Vitamin D.
Through the study, researchers will examine whether increased Vitamin D levels reduce the frequency of asthma attacks in children who have been diagnosed with asthma by a doctor.
Participating children will have to complete a questionaire and medical tests as well as phone calls and required study visits to both the home and the hospital. Compensation will be provided for participants.
