The Moon Area School District Music Department will host their 10th annual All-District Concert on Tuesday, March 21, 2017, at 7 p.m. in the Moon Area High School (MAHS) Auditorium.
The theme for this year's concert is "Out of This World," featuring selections from the galaxies. Ensembles from grades 4-12, representing all school buildings, will perform in a continuous musical extravaganza.
The concert coincides with the National Association for Music Education (NAfME) declaring March as "Music In Our Schools Month." This month-long celebration is a nationwide movement in music education.
"Music In Our Schools Month" is dedicated to advocating and recognizing the profound impact that music education plays in the lives of all children.
Admission to the concert is free, but due to the expected large crowd, seats will be assigned via tickets, which can be obtained at the door. Ticket distribution will begin at 6 p.m. on a first-come, first-serve basis. Guests can enter the MAHS Auditorium through the Student Entrance Doors (Entry C) and Main Office Doors (Entry A).
Guests are encouraged to utilize all legal parking areas, both at the middle school and high school campuses. Handicapped parking can be found throughout campus at the appropriate signed areas. Cars parked illegally will be subject to towing.
