Ms. Glassbrenner and McCormick's student council sponsored a book drive to collect books for Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) newborn patients at Magee Women's Hospital.
McCormick collected over 80 books to contribute to their NICU Book Cart. The mobile cart, filled with new books, allows parents to choose their favorite book to read to their baby.
Parents then get to take these books home with their newborns once they are discharged from the hospital.
"Reading at a early age truly forms a bond between parents and children, and knowing our students were apart of that for local families makes us so proud," said McCormick 4th grade teacher, Ms. Glassbrenner.
If you'd like to donate to the NICU Book Cart, send new children's books to:

Books can also be dropped off at the front desk.
