The people of the Midwest came to visit Ms. Glassbrenner and Miss Kamicker’s fourth grade social studies classroom this week.
Fourth grade McCormick students have been learning about the different regions of the United States all year and this week’s stop was in the Midwest.
Students found a famous Midwesterner to research and put themselves in their shoes by giving a two-minute oral presentation to their peers.
Students spoke in first person point-of-view as they shared details about their person’s life, accomplishments, and additional fun facts.
Neil Armstrong, Malcolm X, Amelia Earhart, George Washington Carver, Abraham Lincoln and Walt Disney were only a few people to stop by!
