The Moon High School Model UN Club recently attended the Model African Union Conference at the University of Pittsburgh. The goal of MAU is for students to study the role, structure, and activities of the African Union as well as the capabilities and constraints that shape the policies of AU member states in the arena of the intra-African diplomacy.

McCormick Elementary School was honored to attend the Grand Opening of the Moon Township Public Library’s brand-new Children’s Department! As part of our commitment to building partnerships and supporting our community, representatives from McCormick joined the Ribbon Cutting Ceremony to celebrate this exciting milestone.

As part of our redistricting plan for the 2025-2026 school year, we want to ensure that elementary students who will be transitioning to a new school have an opportunity to visit their future school before the start of the new school year. We will have multiple opportunities for this to occur. Our first series of scheduled student visits will be on March 27 and March 28 for those impacted by the redistricting plan.

Moon Area School District is proud to announce that eight of its students were selected to participate in the Pennsylvania Music Educators Association (PMEA) District 1 Junior High Chorus Festival on Friday, February 28. Representing the middle school at the festival were seventh grade students Roger Lash and Sophia Singh, and eighth grade students Ashley Hsu, Jacob Lehr, and Evan Wicks. Representing the high school at the festival were ninth grade students Emerson Miller, James Nolan, and Gianna Quitoni.
