MASD: Please bring your own mask for the bus MASD update

Per the Transportation Security Administration's (TSA) federal mandate, everyone must be wearing a mask while riding the school bus. Beginning on Monday, September 27, 2021, our bus drivers will no longer have masks available for students. Students must bring and wear their own mask on the bus. If a student does not have a mask on, they will not be allowed onto the bus. At that point, parents/guardians will be responsible for transporting their child to school.

MASD Media Opt Out Form media opt out

As part of our effort to highlight more positive stories, MASD students may be photographed or video recorded when they have an academic, athletic or extra-curricular accomplishment.

If you do not grant permission for your student to be photographed or video recorded, you must complete the Media Opt Out Form in Skyward by September 30, 2021.

If you grant permission for your child to be photographed or video recorded, no further action is needed. Your child will be automatically opted in, unless you complete the Media Opt Out Form.

MASD Update for Families -- September 1 MASD update

On Tuesday August 31, 2021, Governor Wolf announced that masks will be required in all Pennsylvania schools. Since masks were already required for our students, staff and school visitors, this mandate changes very little for our district. The purpose of this message is to make you aware that masking in schools is now mandated by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.

MASD Open House Information Open House

We are excited to welcome families to an in person Open House this year! Additional details for each school can be found below.

As a reminder, all students, staff and visitors are required to wear a mask while in our schools. This includes Open House. In order to limit the number of people at each event, we ask that families limit their attendance to parents/guardians of the student. Students are welcome to attend their Open House with their parents/guardians. We are asking for you to keep siblings at home, however we understand that there may be situations where siblings must attend with the family.
