Fall 2019 Letter of Intent Signing Day

Eight students participated in the Moon Area High School (MAHS) Fall National Letter of Intent Signing Day in the high school gymnasium on Wednesday, November 13, 2019.

Paige Camerson, Ethan Cemer, Kylee Evans, Cameron Goble, Chloe Kuminkoski, Morgan Mills, Clara Niglio, and Sanaea Simmons all formally committed to collegiate athletic teams for the fall of 2020.

CamersonPaige Camerson 

In the fall of 2020, Paige Camerson will be a member of Methodist University's Women's Lacrosse Team. Camerson will play defense under coach Rebecca Sheinfeld in the NCAA for the Division III university. The four-year varsity letter winner plans on majoring in exercise science with hopes to become a physical therapist.



CemerEthan Cemer

Ethan Cemer will play soccer for Penn State Behrend as a midfielder. Cemer, an honor roll student, will play under coach Dan Perritano in the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) for the Division III school. During Cemer's MAHS soccer career, the team won the 2019 3A Section II Championship. He plans to major in supply chain and project management with a goal to work as a healthcare supply chain manager. 






EvansKylee Evans

Kylee Evans will take a position as center back for Eastern Kentucky University Women's Soccer Team. She will play in the Ohio Valley Conference (OVC) under coach Matt Cosinuke. Evans is a four-year scholar athlete, Beaver County Times Athlete of the Week (2018) and was named to the All WPIAL (2019), First Team All Section (2018 & 2019), and First Team Big 56 (2019). During her MAHS soccer career, she was a member of the WPIAL champion and state champion teams in 2016 and 2017. Evans has also earned high honor and honor roll designations during her time at MAHS. 




GobleCameron Goble

Cameron Goble will join the Virginia Commonwealth University Men's Baseball Team as a pitcher. Goble is also a member of the MAHS boys basketball and golf teams. He was a member of the MAHS boys basketball team that brought home the state championship in 2019. Among his athletic accolades, he has also earned the golf section championship and was also named All Section in baseball. Goble plans on majoring in exercise physiology and plans on becoming a chiropractor. Goble has maintained honor or high honor roll throughout high school. 





KuminkoskiChloe Kuminkoski

In the fall of 2020, Chloe Kuminkoski will be a member of Loyola University Maryland's Women's Soccer Team as a midfielder. Kuminkoski will play in the Patriot League for the Division I school under the direction of coach Joe Mallia. During her time as a student athlete at MAHS, she has been named as 2017-2019 All Section, 2019 All WPIAL, and was added to the 2019 All American Watch List. She was a member of the 2016 and 2017 PIAA girls championship soccer team and was captain of the team during her junior and senior years. Kuminkoski was also named the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette's West Feature Athlete for scoring in the 2016 state championship game. She is also a member of the track team and is a 4x4 record holder and has been a four-year scholar athlete. In the fall, she plans on majoring in pre-medical with a career as a surgeon. 



MillsMorgan Mills

Morgan Mills will play defense for Life University on the Women's Lacrosse Team in the fall of 2020. Mills is a three-year letter winner, scholar athlete, and honor roll student. Mills was a captain during her junior year for the MAHS girls lacrosse team and was also a member of the True Lacrosse National Team. She will play in the Mid-South Conference under the direction of coach Kylar Ferguson. Mills plans on majoring in exercise science and will pursue a career in physical therapist.





NiglioClara Niglio

Clara Niglio will becoming a pitcher for the California University of Pennsylvania's Women's Softball Team in the fall of 2020. During her MAHS athletic career, Niglio was named as both a First and Second Team All Section Pitcher. She will pitch for the Division II university under the directionof coach Rich Bertagnolli. The honor roll student plans on majoring in education next fall and will pursue a teaching career. 





SimmonsSanaea Simmons

Sanaea Simmons will attend College of the Holy Cross in the Patriot League as a middle blocker for the Women's Volleyball Team. Simmons was named First Team All Section once and Second Team All Section twice during her high school athletic career. The four-year letter winner was also named Second Team All WPIAL in 2018. Simmons is a high honor roll student and also a member of the National Honor Society. Simmons will play for Holy Cross under the coaching of Kathleen Colpoys. She plans on majoring in education this fall with a career goal of teaching at the post-secondary level.
