    UPDATE: On Thursday, April 9, 2020, Governor Wolf announced that Pennsylvania schools will remain closed for the rest of the 2019-2020 academic year. All facilities are closed until further notice. All events are cancelled or postponed until further notice. 

    The District’s Technology Department has established a technology support hotline for students only at 412-264-3013. The helpline will be staffed Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. during the closure. All calls received outside of this time frame will be recorded and returned in the order in which they were received.

The PSAT 8/9 (optional for 8th and 9th grade students) will be administered on Saturday, April 25, 2020. The PSAT 8/9 is an optional standardized test that measures college readiness. 

Benefits of the PSAT 8/9:

  • Sets a baseline for measuring student progress
  • Prepares students for the PSAT/NMSQT and SAT
  • Links to online, personalized pathway through Khan Academy
  • Identifies skills for improvement
  • Supports college and career planning



Saturday, April 25, 2020 (This is the only PSAT 8/9 for the 2019-2020 school year)

The test will take approximately 2.5 hours and students should report at 7:45 a.m.

No one will be admitted after 8 a.m.



The test will be given at Moon High School.  Enter through student entrance.



Students currently enrolled in 8th or 9th grade



The test fee is $25 and is non-refundable. Students must pay when purchasing their ticket at https://mahsdances.ludus.com/



All students will register at https://mahsdances.ludus.com/ through Tuesday, February 25, 2020. No tickets will be sold after February 25, 2020.
