We are planning to return to our Hybrid Model on Monday, January 11, 2021, as originally planned. This means students will attend school in person on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, and attend school virtually on Wednesday.
We will continue to track COVID-19 cases by school building over a 14 day period. However, it’s important to note that we must now follow a new set of mandates from the state.
If the number of positive COVID-19 cases among students and staff in a specific school building reaches the thresholds outlined by the Pennsylvania Department of Education and Pennsylvania Department of Health, that school will be required to temporarily shift to the Virtual Model. PDE has defined the thresholds based on the school building size. Read more here.
In this situation, one school may have to temporarily shift to the Virtual Model while the other schools remain in the Hybrid Model.
It is our goal to keep our schools open for in person instruction as much as possible. If we must temporarily shift to the Virtual Model, we will follow protocol to deep clean and sanitize the school as efficiently as possible so that students and staff may safely return to the school.
If your child tests positive for COVID-19, has been experiencing symptoms or has been deemed a close contact, please contact the main office of their school.
We also ask that students who traveled outside of the country or were in a high-risk environment please quarantine for 10 days upon your return. Thank you for your patience and understanding.
