Eleven MAHS Seniors Sign National Letters of Intent

Eleven Moon Area School District seniors signed their National Letters of Intent in April.

Congratulations to Anthony Colangelo, Cassie Depner, Rhianna Firmstone, Caleb Kemp, Tristan Larson, Alexis Ropelewski, Anthony Sirbu, Noah Sauza, Vincent Treonze, C.J. Trimber, and Sadie Yurkovich.

Anthony Colangelo will swim at Case Western Reserve University next year where he plans to study chemical/biomedical engineering. While in high school, he was a three-time WPIAL qualifier, MAC champion, Member of the section championship teams and received the scholar athlete award four times. 

Cassie Depner will play rugby at Dartmouth College where she plans to major in biology/environmental science. While in high school, Cassie was captain of the the basketball, cross country, track, and rugby teams. She was a four-time letterman in basketball and cross country as well as a three-time letterman in track and rugby. She also received the Jack Hinkley Team Spirit Award and was name Rugby PA All-State and USA Rugby All-Northeast.

Rhianna Firmstone will golf at Ohio Northern University where she plans to be a pharmacy major. While in high school she was an individual MAC champion, a four-time WPIAL individual championship qualifier, a two-time PIAA state semi-finals qualifier, a four-time letter winner and the varsity golf team captain. Rhianna won the Tribune Review Female Athlete of the Week, Beaver County Times Female Athlete of the Week, and helped lead her team to the Section championship.

Caleb Kemp will swim at Penn State Behrend University next year where he plans to major in mechanical engineering technology. While in high school, Caleb was a four time WPIAL qualifier, pool record holder, and school record holder.

Tristan Larson will play soccer at the University of Pittsburgh Greensburg where he will major in informational technology. While in high school, Tristan was an honor student.

Alexis Ropelewski will play rugby at American International College next year where she plans to study healthcare management. While in high school, Alexis was also a member of the cross country and Track teams.

Anthony Sirbu will swim at Penn State Behrend where he plans to study computer science. While in high school, Anthony was a WPIAL qualifier and participated in Track and Field and the Marching Band.

Noah Souza will play football in college at Anna Maria where he plans to study sports management. While in high school, he was a three-year letter winner in tennis.

Vincent Treonze will play soccer at the University of Pittsburgh Greensburg next year where he plans to major in biological science. While in high school, Vincent was a varsity letter winner in soccer and baseball as well as captain of the soccer team.

C.J. Trimber will wrestle in college at Penn College of Technology next year where he will study HVAC.  While in high school, C.J. was a team captain for two years and qualified for the WPIAL Tournament two times.

Sadie Yurkovich will compete in track and field in college at Muskingum University where she plans to major in Psychology and Criminal Justice.  She is a four-year letter winner.
