First Day of School Reminders

update
Dear MASD Families,

We are excited to welcome your children to school tomorrow (Tuesday, August 24)! I'd like to share a few reminders to help the first day of school go smoothly for everyone.

  • All students, staff and school visitors are required to wear a mask indoors at school and at all indoor school events that takes place on our campus. In addition, TSA requires that everyone wear a mask while riding the school bus. If your child has a medical exemption, you should submit a note from your child's physician on the physician's letterhead to the main office of your child's school. More information.

  • Meals will be free for all MASD students this year. Your child will be able to eat breakfast and lunch at school at no charge to your family. More information.

  • Your child's transportation route is available in Skyward. Please be patient the first week of school as we work through any changes that may be needed. If you have any questions or concerns about your child's route, please contact please contact Vicki Hricz, MASD Transportation Coordinator, at vhricz@moonarea.net or 412-264-9440 ext. 1130.

  • If you have not already done so, please complete the series of forms in Skyward that will help keep our records up to date. More information
We are looking forward to a great year and hope you are too!

Sincerely,

Barry J. Balaski
