September is childhood cancer awareness. Allard staff members wore our gold rainbow shirts to support the fight against childhood cancer.
The color gold is used to symbolize childhood cancer because according to the American Childhood Cancer Organization, “gold is a precious metal, and is therefore the perfect color to reflect the most precious thing in our lives—our children.” Allard staff agrees with this sentiment!
"This cause is near and dear to our hearts, as our very own Bridge Family has been impacted by childhood cancer," said Dr. Susan Kazmierczak, Allard Principal. "We admire their strength and we are so glad to have them as part of our Allard community."
Allard stands with the Bridge family and all families who have been impacted by childhood cancer.
