MAHS Cheer Hosts Pink Out

Moon Area High School cheerleaders hosted a Pink Out at the game on Friday, October 15 with help from the football team. Prior to kickoff, the names of breast cancer survivors were announced. The survivors were then escorted from the stands onto the field by the cheerleaders and football players. Each survivor received a flower and homemade pink ribbon cookie. It was such an honor to be able to celebrate these women at the Pink Out.

This year, the cheerleaders sold more than 850 pink out t-shirts, raising $7,000! The money they raised was donated to UPMC Magee-Womens Hospital! Through the years, MAHS cheer, football and the community have donated over $50,000 to Magee. A bench has been placed at the Magee Women's Center to acknowledge their generous support.

Thank you to everyone who supported the Pink Out this year!
