MASD Alumni Speaks to World Language Students

MASD alumna, Sarah Graham Boutin (MAHS '01) visited the high school to speak to World Language students about her experiences as an instructional leader and instructor of Japanese for the North Carolina Virtual Public School.

Ms. Boutin's interest in languages ultimately led her to a job that didn’t even exist as she was going to school. She highlighted the benefits of being proficient in a second language and spoke about the possibilities for employment in the academic and private sectors. In addition, Ms. Boutin shared several online cultural resources that are available through her school.

Students were able to ask her questions about world languages, including what her job entails and her online experience.

Thank you to Ms. Boutin for visiting Moon Area High School!
