Distinguished Moon Area High School (MAHS) alumnus, Anish Shah, virtually visited MAHS Business Club students on Wednesday, April 20th. The presentation took place via Zoom.
Mr. Shah is currently a Managing Director in Morgan Stanley’s Global Capital Markets group operating out of New York City. He joined Morgan Stanley in 2007 and oversees the firm’s global corporate lending portfolio as the Chair of Capital Commitment Committee. Mr. Shah holds a Bachelor’s in Science in Finance and Accounting from New York University’s Stern School of Business and an MBA from Columbia Business School. He is a member of the 1994 MAHS graduating class. Mr. Shah’s professional experience includes managing multi-billion-dollar financing packages for corporations such as Broadcom, Verizon, and Bristol-Myers Squibb.
Students had an opportunity to learn about his background, educational experience, and work experience. Mr. Shah stressed the importance of communication and collaboration skills in the professional workplace. He also provided time for students to ask questions so they could inquire about a career in finance and banking.
The MAHS Business Club is open to all students and meets once a month. This event is an enhancement to the business education curriculum by allowing students to understand the importance of their studies as it relates to the real world.
