Moon Area High School (MAHS) students are receiving reimbursements for their exemplary work on their advanced placement (AP) course exams.
The National Math and Science Initiative (NMSI) partners with schools, including MAHS, to implement their College Readiness Program and offer challenging coursework to students to help prepare them for post-secondary success. Students can earn college credit through AP courses with qualifying exam scores. According to NMSI, students who earn qualifying scores have an increased likelihood of graduating college on time.
Not only does NMSI cover the first half of the AP exam costs, it also rewards students that earn a 3, 4, or 5 (5 being the highest score) on the exam.
This year, 124 MAHS students will receive reimbursements totaling over $20,000.
We are proud of all of our students' hard work!
