Welcome to the Moon Area School District! The following information will help you begin the online registration process.
Below you will find more information about our registration process, all the necessary documents, as well as Kindergarten Readiness Round-Up.
Registration Requirement
- Children must be five years of age on or before September 1 to be eligible for entry into kindergarten.
- Children must be six years of age on or before September 1 to be eligible for entry into first grade.
- Children must be residents of Moon Township or Crescent Township
New Student and Kindergarten Registration

Registering for the Current School Year
If you need to enroll a student for the current school year, please register online. You will be notified of your child's start date within five days of completing your child's online registration.
Registering for the Upcoming School Year
If you are enrolling a student for the upcoming school year or registering during the summer months, please note that we experience a high volume of applications between February and late August. Applications for students enrolling for the current school year, while in session, are prioritized. Confirmation of your child’s enrollment for the following year will be sent as soon as possible, but it may take several weeks due to the volume of applications we receive during summer months.
Registering for Kindergarten
If your child will be five years old on or before September 1, 2023, it's time to register for kindergarten! Kindergarten registration opens on February 1, 2023. We ask that parents/guardians register their child by May 4, 2023 to ensure they are able to attend our Kindergarten Readiness Round-Up event.
Registering for First Grade as a New Student
If your child will be six years old on or before September 1, 2023 and they do not currently attend Moon Area School District, it's time to register for first grade! Registration for new incoming first grade students opens on February 1, 2023. We ask that parents/guardians register their child by May 4, 2023 to ensure they are able to attend our Readiness Round-Up event.
