Welcome to the Moon Area School District! The following information will help you begin the online registration process.
If you already have a child who is currently enrolled in the Moon Area School District, please log into Skyward Family Access and click on the Student Online Enrollment tab on the left to enroll your child who will be new to the district.
Kindergarten Round-Up 2026
Kindergarten Round-Up takes place each year in May. This event is for children who are new to the district, previously attended private kindergarten, and those who will be attending first grade in the Moon Area School District as a new student in the fall of 2026. We ask that parents/guardians register their child as soon as possible to ensure they are able to attend our Kindergarten Readiness Round-Up event on May 18, 2026.
Kindergarten Orientation
Kindergarten orientation will take place in August 2026 at your child's elementary school. Please stay tuned for more information!
Kindergarten Registration Welcome Letter
We hope this message finds you well. We're excited to share that our online pre-registration process will open in February 2026. We kindly suggest completing the online pre-registration by the end of March. If you encounter any difficulties, you can also complete the process at the Moon Area School District Central office before your child's scheduled kindergarten readiness assessment.

Registration Requirement
- Children must be five years of age on or before September 1 to be eligible for entry into Kindergarten.
- Children must be six years of age on or before September 1 to be eligible for entry into first grade.
- Children must be residents of Moon Township or Crescent Township.

Please Note:
If you are enrolling a student for the following school year or during the summer months, please keep in mind that we experience a high volume of applications between February and late August. This includes kindergarten and new first grade student registration. Confirmation of your child’s enrollment for the following year will be sent as soon as possible, but it may take several weeks due to the volume of applications we receive during summer months.
Applications for students enrolling for the current school year, while in session, are prioritized. You will be notified of your child's start date within five days if you are enrolling a student for the current school year as long as all required documentation is submitted.
