Kindergarten and 1st Grade Learn About Healthy Teeth Habits

Brooks Elementary School kindergarten and first grade students recently welcomed local dentist and Brooks parent, Dr. Neha Kumar of Moon Diamond Dental, for an engaging and educational presentation about maintaining healthy teeth.

Dr. Neha captivated students with an interactive discussion on proper brushing techniques (using circles!), flossing, and healthy snacking habits. With the help of student volunteers, she demonstrated the correct way to brush and floss, reinforcing the importance of daily dental care.

Dr. Neha also provided helpful literature and information from the CDC, ensuring that students could continue the conversation about oral health at home. This timely visit aligns perfectly with February’s Children's Dental Health Month, emphasizing the value of good dental habits early in life.
