Congratulations to Shaurya Kapoor’s PA Governor’s School Achievement

Rising senior, Shaurya Kapoor, was accepted into the Pennsylvania Governor’s School for the Sciences at Carnegie Mellon University, a prestigious five-week program that admits fewer than 15 percent of applicants.

At the program’s closing banquet, he was selected by 70 of his peers to be one of two students to deliver a final speech. His high school science teacher, Kaylee Kelley, who wrote his letter of recommendation, was in attendance and shared that she was very impressed.

Shaurya is no stranger to hard work. He earned national recognition as one of the top congressional debaters at the 73rd Annual Catholic Forensics League Grand National Tournament in May.
