MAHS Students Attend Model African Union Conference

The Moon High School Model UN Club recently attended the Model African Union Conference at the University of Pittsburgh. The goal of MAU is for students to study the role, structure, and activities of the African Union as well as the capabilities and constraints that shape the policies of AU member states in the arena of the intra-African diplomacy.

Members researched and prepared for weeks in advance, then participated in simulations where they debated, negotiated, presented policy speeches, and developed resolutions. The Moon High School team had many resolutions passed, and the students enjoyed a great day of learning about international policy. Junior Shaurya Kapoor served as a moderator for this event, and all of the students did a stellar job.
