Moon Area Students Participate in “Senator for a Day” Seminar

Fourteen Moon Area High School students in Mr. Trapizona’s and Mr. D’Eramo’s 12th Grade AP U.S. Government & Politics classes participated in the annual “Senator for a Day” seminar hosted by Pennsylvania State Senator Devlin Robinson on Thursday, November 13 at the Robert Morris University UPMC Events Center.

Throughout the event, Senator Robinson offered students meaningful opportunities to engage in civic learning by discussing, debating, and voting on mock Pennsylvania legislation. Our Moon Area “Student Senators” collaborated with more than 100 students from 10 local public schools across the district, gaining valuable firsthand insight into the state legislative process.

It was an enriching experience that strengthened students’ understanding of government and civic responsibility.
