MAMS Orchestra Students PMEA District 1 Elementary String Fest
Two Moon Area Middle School recently attended Pennsylvania Music Educators Association (PMEA) District 1 Elementary String Fest. This festival included over 120 string orchestra students in grades 5 and 6 from over 40 different area schools and their directors.
Moon Area Middle School was represented by two 6th grade students: Greyson Bourquin (Cello) and Scarlett Neal (Bass).
The ensemble was conducted by Brian Buterbaugh, orchestra director at Hershey High School and Music Director/Conductor of the York Youth Symphony. These students rehearsed under Mr. Buterbaugh’s leadership throughout the day and performed an evening concert.
