MAMS Wind Ensemble Performs at Heinz Hall
On Monday, March 16, the Moon Area Middle School Wind Ensemble, under the direction of Abby Finkelstein and Alan Fear, performed at a PMEA Music Performance Assessment event held at Heinz Hall, home of the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra. The ensemble is comprised of 6th, 7th, and 8th grade musicians.
The ensemble performed two pieces for a panel of adjudicators and earned an Excellent rating. Following their performance, students participated in a clinic with members of the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra, where they received valuable feedback to further develop their musicianship.
This achievement reflects the students’ continued dedication, growth, and hard work. Congratulations to all members of the MAMS Wind Ensemble on a successful performance!
