Club Hope

Club Hope

This fall, Moon Area Middle School created a new club specifically for students experiencing grief in their lives.  The new club is called Club Hope.

Club Hope offers students who have experienced a loss a common meeting place to share and support one another, knowing they are not alone in their situation. In addition to the middle school students, there are two high school senior mentors that support the program.

Club Hope models The Highmark Caring Place in many ways and provides open communication space for all of the participants.

"I am very grateful to see the middle school and high school students connecting with one another and understanding they are never alone in their situation," said Mrs. Lisa Lehman, who is the club's sponsor. "I love the bonds that have already been formed in a such a short amount of time.

Yesterday we had our last Club Hope meeting for 2022 and finished making our ornaments in honor of our loved ones, having snacks, and playing games together!
