Dr. Morgan Steps into New Role at MASD 

Moon Area School District is pleased to share Dr. Lauren Morgan has been named Assistant Superintendent!

Dr. Morgan previously served as the district’s Director of Curriculum and Instruction for over four years, where she collaborated with faculty and administration to develop, implement, and support high-quality K–12 instructional programs that meet the diverse needs of all students. 

Before joining Moon Area School District, Dr. Morgan held roles as an elementary classroom teacher and a gifted and enrichment teacher. She also served as the PreK–12 Director of Curriculum and Instruction at South Side Area School District. 

Dr. Morgan holds a bachelor’s degree in education from Duquesne University, a master’s degree from Youngstown State University, Principal Certification from California University of Pennsylvania, and a Doctor of Philosophy degree from Robert Morris University. She has also previously served as a fellow with the Pennsylvania Education Policy and Leadership Center.  

“It is an honor to have the opportunity to continue working with the incredible faculty, staff, and families of the Moon Area School District in this new role,” said Dr. Morgan. “I look forward to continuing to pursue excellence in education for all students.”
