High School Artists Create Lasting Impact with Sensory Room Mural at Bon Meade Elementary
A group of talented high school student artists recently volunteered their time and took their talents to Bon Meade Elementary School to paint a mural in the school's sensory room. They were recently recognized at the April 14, 2025 School Board meeting.
A sensory room provides students with individualized sensory input that they need to self-regulate. This helps prepare them for learning and interacting with others.
Thank you to high school art teacher, Mrs. Elizabeth Blair and Peyton Corsetti, the co-director who is currently working on an art therapy master's degree. In addition, thank you to these talented student artists -- Kira Buncke, Ashima Gopal, Leah Henry, Nicholas Kranyak, Kyra Laur, Keira Prevost, Elliot Simmons, Bry Stout, Grace Toth and Alex Wiglesworth.
A true measure of a leader is not their age, but in their willingness to serve. High School students who give back to their community and mentor younger children are shaping a brighter future -- one act of kindness at a time.
