MASD Award Nominations
Dear MASD Community,
Moon Area School District is proud of the impact and positive influence our graduates have on people around the world. In addition, the district is fortunate to have had many dedicated faculty, staff and volunteers who have made a positive impact on students and our schools.
It is our honor to recognize individuals who are making a difference in our schools and beyond through our Distinguished Alumni Award and our Service Legacy Award.
If you know of an alum who has made significant contributions to society and whose accomplishments, affiliations, and careers have honored a legacy of excellence, please consider nominating him or her for our Distinguished Alumni Award. This distinction will be reflective of Moon Area School District’s core values. Criteria can be met by achieving distinction in one of three areas -- career or military distinction, service to society or support of MASD.

If you know of an individual who has inspired excellence at Moon Area School District, please consider nominating him or her for the Service Legacy Award. Although this award is focused on recognizing retired individuals, you may also nominate current faculty and staff members who have gone above and beyond to serve our school community and make a lasting impact.

Nominations for both awards will be accepted by any individual. However, self-nominations are not permissible. All nominations will be reviewed by a committee. If selected, nominees will then be invited to complete the full distinguished alumni application.
Nominations may be submitted at any time. However, there is a cutoff date each year. Nominations for 2024 are due by June 30, 2024.
