MASD Winter Weather Plan 2025-2026

Dear MASD Families:      

The possibility of winter weather is right around the corner. We want to make sure families are as prepared as possible for any changes to our typical schedule. 

If we need to physically close our schools due to weather, we will shift to a Remote Learning Day. Please take a moment to visit the Remote Learning section of our website so that you and your family know what to expect in the event we need to implement remote learning. Click here to view the Remote Learning page on our website. 

If we call a delay, all MASD schools will operate on a two-hour delay schedule.     

School delay and closing information will be shared in the following ways:      

• An alert will be posted to our website.      
• A call and email will be sent via Skylert.   
• Social media posts will be made.    
• Information will be posted to the local news stations (WPXI, WTAE, KDKA).
