Moon Angel Tree

The Moon Angel Tree Program was able to support 191 of our students from all our buildings in all grade levels this year!

The wish lists were wide and varied, but the shoppers managed to procure everything from necessities like shoes, coats, clothes, socks, and toiletries; to wants of dolls, bikes, scooters, roller skates, sports jerseys, Lego sets, headphones, keyboards, easy bake ovens and even a guitar. 

We were absolutely blown away by the generosity of our Moon community and want to thank everyone involved for helping to make these students and families holidays a little bit brighter. 

This program, started at the high school by School Counselor Emily Smith, and expanded by teacher Bethany Klisavage, would not happen without the time and efforts of an amazing team of helpers. This year's crew was made up of Becky Meyers, Neil Tkatch, Trish Johnson, Deanne Hinerman, Melissa Monyak, Jodi Yanosick, Valerie Valdiserri, Tyler Krokonko, Julie Speer, Michelle Connolly, Missy Bonura, Tracy Spinelli, Buddy Bamford, Nikki Hegerich, Ashley Beeson and Dave Gallup.  These generous people helped gather wish lists, sorted presents, stored presents in their classrooms, assisted with gift pick up, and even drove around the township delivering things to the families without transportation.

They say it takes a village and after witnessing the way our village stepped up to give our students a holiday to remember, we’re all so proud to call this village home!
