Seniors Sign Letters of Intent

Four Moon Area School District seniors signed their National Letters of Intent this month.

Congratulations to Alex Ashbery, Carly Yanek, Bailey Maxin, and Jacob Despot!

Alex Ashbery will be attending Waynesburg University in the fall to play baseball.  He is currently on the honor roll.  In college, he plans to study sports management and hopes to work for a professional sports team.

Carly Yanek will be running track and field at Seton Hill University.  In high school, she has earned 6th place in WPIALS 300m hurdles.  She is in the top 50 in AAU Junior Olympics in the 400m hurdles and a WPIAL qualifier in the 4 x 1 meter relay.  Carly has earned high honor roll all through high school and is a 3x scholar athlete.  Carly plans to study nutrition and dietetics and become a sports nutritionist.

Bailey Maxin is headed to Indiana University of Pennsylvania to play volleyball.  She is a 3x scholar athlete, 3x honor roll recipient, and a member of the National Honor Society.  Bailey plans to study speech pathology.

Jacob Despot will be playing baseball at Juniata College in the fall.  He earned a varsity letter at Moon and has been on the honor roll and high honor roll.  He plans to study business analytics and hopes to work in a sports team front office.
