Students Graduate from Allegheny County Camp Cadet Program
On August 10th, four Moon Area Middle School students—DJ Gilbert, Max Kozlowski, Conner Patton, and Brandon Shedlock—graduated from the Allegheny County Camp Cadet program after being handpicked to participate in program.
The 20-year program is designed to bring a better understanding of law enforcement and other community agencies to the youth who live in Allegheny County. Some of the activities include a mock crime scene and a mock trial as well as demonstrations by the SWAT/SERT units and K-9 unit. Camp Cadet is a collaborative effort involving the Pennsylvania State Police, Allegheny County Police, and several local police departments.
Special thanks to Officer Hale for his support and attending the graduation ceremony at Fox Chapel.
