In an effort to reinforce the Rachel’s Challenge goal of being kind, the Moon Area Middle School 5th grade Falcons team completed a kindness project last week.
The project was inspired and led by homeroom parent, Megan Miller. Miller organized a collection of canned goods, food items, socks, and gloves for The Cornerstone of Beaver County, a local non-profit that assists the homeless or those at risk of being homeless.
During the team activity on January 17, 2020, Falcon students gathered and sorted the collected items into care bags to benefit the shelter.
"The students felt good about their work, and the shelter was very grateful," said 5th grade teacher, Mr. John Colaiacovo.
